Bird anatomy studies

Description

I often struggle with birds, their feathers really baffle me. The only way to improve this is to practice! All of these were drawn with coloured pencil from my own photos: swamp harrier (taxidermy), Eurasian eagle owl, starling (taxidermy), European herring gull, Philippine eagle foot (taxidermy).

BEAUTIFUL work!  You did an exceptional job on the owl's face and the harrier's feet.  The starling is a distinctly/strangely shaped bird, and you captured that unique shape perfectly.  And most importantly, I can tell that you've studied how wings fold!
